As a small business owner, Heidi knows firsthand the cost of running a business in Maryland. She’s advocated against excessive taxes on small businesses, and supports cutting red tape, and making it easier for businesses to start, grow, and stay in Maryland.

As a special education parent, Heidi knows the playing field is NOT level for all students. Heidi supports quality education for every learner. She will fight for policies that offer real support for teachers, rather than those that undermine them, and support access to services that meet kids where they are — especially our most vulnerable learners, threatened by federal cuts to the IDEA Act.

Heidi supports practical solutions to make Marylanders' lives more affordable, including lowering taxes on working families. Working together, we can lower the cost of childcare, housing, electricity, and healthcare—because families shouldn’t have to choose between opportunity and stability as the cost of everything continues to rise month after month. 

Anyone in District 31 knows traffic is the one topic that brings everyone together. Heidi will fight to fund projects that address the bottlenecks in our district, like Mountain Road, so we can get where we need to go without the gridlock. Infrastructure improvements, such as sidewalks, bike paths, and public water access, are all examples of projects that can enhance our quality of life.
